Doll Ikesh part of the Super Heroes (Me and my doll) series by Alexa Lixfeld. Having been invited to Kurunegala (Sri Lanka) to work and live with the community, designer Alexa Lixfeld learned that they were dreaming of building a new school accessible to all, also the less fortunate children. So arose the idea to involve the kids and give their dreams a shape. Alexa invited the school kids to draw their favorite characters and selected the most complementary six for unaltered production by the women of the local community. Super Heroes go by the names their creators gave them. Each of them comes in their own little sleeping bag designed in matching colours. They make a great gift with a scintillating story. 50% of the sales revenue are directed back to the community to finance infrastructural development.
