Arzu Firuz was born in Istanbul from a Turkish father and a Panamanian mother. Her approach reflects her multicultural childhood.Graduated in 2006 from the art and design school Ecole Duperré in Paris, she lives and works in France as a freelance designer.Oriental artisanship forms the main influence on her work. Arzu takes historical and traditional references as a starting point, blending them with modern elements and materials from everyday life. Her products are a reflection on artisanship versus mass production and the settled way of life versus nomadism.
